Notes & harmony
A root note and 19 scales, from major and minor to modes, pentatonic, blues and symmetrical scales.
- Individual weights for all twelve pitch classes and five octave registers.
- Octave offset and velocity per pitch class.
- Root Floor anchors the root at the bottom of your selected register.
- Proximity, Repeat and Offset shape melodic movement.
Rhythm & articulation
14 weighted durations: regular values from two bars to 1/16, plus dotted and triplet values from 1/2 to 1/16.
- Density, additional rest probability and Auto-density.
- Gate, Legato, Ratchet and Velocity Spread.
- MIDI CC glide and attack/decay CC ramps for compatible instruments.
- Optional event truncation at repeating bar boundaries.
Capture & loop
Capture recently generated events, including rests, and play them as a loop.
- Independent capture and loop lengths from 1 to 512 events.
- Move the loop window through your captured history.
- Forward, Reverse, Ping-pong or Random playback.
- Play every step, every second step or every fourth step.
- Reshape articulation and melodic behaviour non-destructively.

LFOs & DAW control
Six LFO targets per voice: Density, Rest, Gate, Ratchet, Legato and Velocity Spread.
- Sine, Triangle, Square, Noise and Stepped Random.
- Free-running from 0.01 to 20 Hz, or synced from 1/32 to four bars.
- Individual minimum and maximum modulation values.
- Automatable parameters with tempo and transport from your host DAW.
- A selectable MIDI channel per voice. Routing depends on your host.
Interface & formats
Direct access to musical decisions, without hardware-style submenus.
- Note history showing octave positions, rests and playback changes.
- Default, Black and White themes, with interface scaling.

Good to know.
Does R&OM make sound?
No. R&OM generates MIDI notes and controller data. Your synth, sampler or external instrument creates the sound.
Does it work in Ableton Live?
Yes, using the VST3 version and MIDI routing to an instrument track. Live merges MIDI channels during internal routing: the four voices from one instance cannot currently be routed directly to four separate Live instruments. Direct external MIDI output is not included yet.
What about Logic Pro?
The AU version runs in a MIDI-FX slot before a software instrument. Multichannel distribution depends on the instrument and your host's routing.
